Wye River State Reserve

Wye River State Reserve, located approximately 3 km east of Lake Leake in Tasmania's East Coast, encompasses 2,682 hectares of protected land. Established in May 2000, the reserve was created to safeguard forest communities and threatened flora species. The area is characterized by diverse landscapes, including dense rainforests and unique geological formations. The reserve is part of the Freycinet National Park and is managed under the Freycinet National Park and Wye River State Reserve Management Plan 2000. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area, though facilities such as parking, picnic tables, and barbecues are not available.
