Wilsons Promontory National Park

Affectionately known as 'The Prom', Wilsons Promontory is the southernmost point of mainland Australia and a world-class national park. The park is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers, featuring a stunning landscape of granite mountains that plunge into the turquoise sea. It is famous for its beautiful and pristine beaches, such as Squeaky Beach with its singing white quartz sand. The park offers an extensive network of walking tracks, ranging from easy strolls to challenging multi-day wilderness hikes. The main hub is Tidal River, which has a large campground, a visitor centre, and a general store. The park is teeming with wildlife, including wombats, kangaroos, and emus. A park entry fee is charged per vehicle. As a national park, dogs are not permitted.
