Williamstown Botanic Gardens
Williamstown, Melbourne, VIC
Giffard St & Osborne St, Williamstown, VIC 3016
The Williamstown Botanic Gardens are a heritage-listed gem, located right next to the beach. Established in 1860, these gardens are a beautiful example of the classic Victorian style. A key feature is the grand avenue of Canary Island Date Palms that leads towards the sea. The gardens also contain an ornamental lake, a Pinetum with a collection of conifers, and many rare and significant trees. The intricate network of paths, colourful flowerbeds, and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect place for a quiet stroll. Due to the valuable plant collection, dogs are not permitted inside the fenced gardens. Entry is free.
