Werribee Park

Werribee Park is one of Victoria's premier heritage destinations. The estate is dominated by the opulent 1870s Werribee Mansion, which is open for tours. Surrounding the mansion are 10 hectares of exquisite formal gardens, featuring a parterre, a lake, and an extensive grotto. A highlight is the internationally acclaimed Victoria State Rose Garden, which has over 5,000 roses. The estate also includes the Werribee Open Range Zoo and the National Equestrian Centre. The wider parklands have beautiful picnic areas along the Werribee River. An entry fee is required for the Mansion and the Zoo, but access to the parklands and rose garden is free. Dogs are permitted on-leash in the parklands but not in the formal gardens or other attractions.
