Wattle Park is a unique and historic park, originally established by the Tramways Board as a leisure destination for Melbourne's residents. Its most famous and beloved feature is the collection of restored W-class trams that now serve as picnic shelters. The 55-hectare park features beautiful heritage-listed gardens with over 12,000 wattle trees, extensive picnic lawns, and a popular nine-hole public golf course. A network of walking tracks provides pleasant strolls through the parklands. The park has a designated off-leash area for dogs. Entry is free.
