Wannon, Grampians, VIC
1165 Glenelg Hwy, Wannon, VIC 3301
Wannon Falls is a major waterfall in western Victoria, where the river plunges over a sheer basalt lava cliff into a large, deep pool. The falls are most spectacular in winter and spring when the river is in full flow. A viewing platform near the car park provides a classic, panoramic view of the falls and the gorge. A walking track leads down to the base of the falls. The surrounding reserve has a long history as a tourist destination and features extensive, beautiful lawns, picnic and barbecue facilities, and a playground. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Entry is free.
