Walls of Jerusalem National Park is a remote alpine park located in Tasmania's Central Plateau, within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The park is accessible only by foot, offering a pristine environment for experienced bushwalkers. The main access point is via Lake Rowallan, accessible from Mole Creek via Mersey Forest Road (C171). After crossing the Fish River, a gravel road leads to the Walls of Jerusalem car park, where the walking track begins. The park is renowned for its dolerite peaks, ancient pencil pine forests, and numerous lakes and tarns. The Walls of Jerusalem multi-day walk is a 23 km circuit that traverses this stunning landscape, taking approximately three days to complete. The track is graded as Grade 4, indicating that bushwalking experience is recommended. Facilities within the park are minimal, with designated campsites at Wild Dog Creek, Dixons Kingdom, and Lake Adelaide, each equipped with tent platforms and basic amenities. Visitors are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles to preserve the sensitive alpine environment. A valid parks pass is required for entry to Tasmania's national parks.
