Upper Yarra Reservoir Park

Upper Yarra Reservoir Park is the most remote of Melbourne's reservoir parks, offering a spectacular and peaceful setting. The park is nestled in the deep valley of the Yarra River's headwaters, surrounded by magnificent Mountain Ash forest. It features beautifully manicured lawns, exotic and native gardens, and extensive picnic and barbecue facilities. A network of walking tracks allows visitors to explore the gardens, walk to the dam wall for views over the reservoir, and venture into the surrounding forest. It's a fantastic destination for a day trip to experience the grandeur of the mountains. To protect the water supply, dogs are not permitted. The park gates open and close at set times. Entry is free.
