Trial Harbour State Reserve
Trial Harbour, Zeehan, TAS
Trial Harbour Road, Trial Harbour TAS 7468

Trial Harbour State Reserve is a remote coastal area located on Tasmania's West Coast, accessible via the challenging Climies Track 4WD route. The reserve is known for its rugged landscapes and serves as a starting point for the 24 km Climies Track, which traverses through the Mount Heemskirk Regional Reserve between Granville Harbour and Trial Harbour. This track is rated as very difficult and is suitable only for experienced 4WD drivers with high-clearance vehicles. Along the route, visitors can encounter picturesque waterfalls, clifftops, and mountain views. The reserve offers basic facilities, including campsites and toilets, but lacks amenities such as picnic tables, barbecues, and playgrounds. Dogs are not permitted in the reserve. Access to the reserve is via Trial Harbour Road, approximately 15.5 km from Zeehan. Due to its remote location and challenging access, visitors are advised to travel in groups and be prepared for self-recovery in case of vehicle issues. Always check current track conditions and weather forecasts before planning a visit.
