Trentham Falls

Trentham Falls is a magnificent natural spectacle, formed when the Coliban River plunges 32 metres over a sheer cliff of basalt columns. These hexagonal columns were created by ancient volcanic lava flows. A short, easy walking track leads from the car park to a scenic lookout that provides a fantastic view of the falls and the gorge below. The reserve has a pleasant picnic area with tables, wood barbecues, and toilets set within a native woodland. Please note that access to the base of the falls is permanently closed for safety reasons. Dogs are permitted on-leash. Entry is free.
