Treasury Gardens
East Melbourne, Melbourne, VIC
2-18 Spring St, East Melbourne, VIC 3002
Treasury Gardens is one of Melbourne's oldest public gardens, forming a tranquil green space between the Fitzroy Gardens and the grand government buildings of Treasury Place. The gardens are designed in a classic Victorian style, with sweeping lawns, magnificent avenues of mature trees like elms and Moreton Bay Figs, and ornamental ponds. The gardens are notable for their collection of memorials, including a large memorial to President John F. Kennedy and a monument to the Victorian victims of the Black Saturday bushfires. It's a popular spot for city workers to relax and a beautiful place for a peaceful walk. Dogs must be kept on a leash. On-street parking is paid and limited. Entry is free.
