Torndirrup National Park (The Gap & Natural Bridge)
Torndirrup, Albany, WA
Torndirrup Road, Torndirrup WA 6330

Torndirrup National Park, located approximately 10 km south of Albany in Western Australia, is renowned for its dramatic coastal scenery and unique granite formations. The park's most iconic attractions are The Gap and Natural Bridge, where visitors can witness the raw power of the Southern Ocean as it crashes against 40-meter-high granite cliffs. The accessible viewing platforms at both sites offer panoramic views of the coastline, from Bald Head to West Cape Howe. A raised pathway leads from the parking and picnic area across the granite ramparts to the viewing platform at The Gap, providing safe access while protecting the delicate plant life on the rocks. The Natural Bridge lookout is a short walk from the parking area, offering a less exposed yet equally impressive view of the rugged coastline. The park also features picnic tables and shaded areas, making it a suitable spot for relaxation. However, there are no barbecue facilities or playgrounds available. Parking is available on-site, and dogs are not permitted in the park. Please note that standard park entry fees apply, and there are no toilets at this location. Visitors are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles to preserve the natural environment. For more information, contact the Albany Parks and Wildlife Office at +61 (0)8 9842 4500.
