The St Kilda Botanical Gardens are a tranquil oasis just a short distance from the busy St Kilda foreshore. Established in 1859, these heritage-listed gardens showcase a classic Victorian layout with sweeping lawns, mature trees, and colourful flowerbeds. Key features include the beautiful Alister Clarke Rose Garden, a glasshouse conservatory, an ornamental pond with a solar-powered fountain, and a giant chessboard. The gardens are a popular spot for a peaceful walk or picnic and include a children's playground. To protect the gardens and wildlife, dogs are not permitted inside. On-street parking can be limited.
