St Arnaud, Grampians, VIC
Teddington Rd, St Arnaud, VIC 3478
St Arnaud Range National Park protects a significant area of central Victoria's box-ironbark forest. The park is a haven for nature lovers, particularly in spring when the forest floor is transformed by a spectacular carpet of native wildflowers, including numerous rare and beautiful orchids. It's a fantastic location for birdwatching, with over 130 species recorded. The park is also scattered with evidence of its gold mining history. A network of tracks makes it suitable for bushwalking, scenic driving, and prospecting. The main picnic area is at Teddington Reservoir. Dogs are not permitted in the national park. Entry is free.
