South Bruny National Park

South Bruny National Park, located on Bruny Island in Tasmania, is renowned for its dramatic coastal landscapes, including towering cliffs, expansive sandy beaches, and rich biodiversity. A highlight of the park is the historic Cape Bruny Lighthouse, built in 1836, which offers panoramic views of the Southern Ocean and the rugged coastline. Visitors can explore various walking tracks, such as the Fluted Cape Circuit, a 4 km return walk that provides stunning cliff-top vistas, and the Grass Point track, a 4 km return walk suitable for families, featuring coastal views and remnants of an old whaling station. The park also offers several campgrounds, including Jetty Beach, The Pines, and Cloudy Corner, each providing access to the beach and opportunities for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Please note that a valid parks pass is required for entry to Tasmania's national parks, and camping fees apply at designated sites. Facilities within the park are limited, so visitors should come prepared and practice Leave No Trace principles to preserve the natural environment.
