Shepherds Lookout is perched above the Murrumbidgee River in Holt, offering one of Canberra's best bushland vistas. The lookout is accessible via a short walk (approximately 1.2 km return) through Woodstock Nature Reserve starting at the parking area roughly 3 km from the last traffic island on Stockdill Drive. The viewing platform provides panoramic views over the Murrumbidgee River and surrounding bushland. Dogs are welcome on-leash with some off-leash sections available. Popular spot for walking and nature appreciation, easily accessible from western suburbs including Holt and nearby Ginninderry.
