Rocky Cape National Park

Rocky Cape National Park, located on Tasmania's North-West Coast, is renowned for its rich Aboriginal heritage, diverse plant and animal life, and stunning coastal scenery. The park offers a variety of walking tracks, ranging from short 20-minute walks to more challenging 15-kilometer hikes, allowing visitors to explore its unique landscapes. Notable sites include the North Cave and Lighthouse, which provide panoramic coastal views, and the Banksia Grove/Caves Circuit, featuring extensive stands of saw banksias and Aboriginal shelters. The park is accessible via the Bass Highway (A2) between the Rocky Cape township and Hellyer, with the main entrance off Rocky Cape Road (C227). A valid parks pass is required for entry to Tasmania's national parks. Visitors are encouraged to respect the wishes of the Aboriginal community by not entering the caves and to stay on designated tracks to protect the environment.
