Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary

Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary protects a unique area of intertidal sandstone platforms, which create a fascinating network of rock pools at low tide. These pools are home to a huge variety of marine creatures, making it a popular spot for education and exploration. While the sanctuary is aquatic, the adjacent foreshore reserve is a beautiful park in its own right. The Bayside Coastal Trail runs through the reserve, offering a scenic walk or cycle with beautiful views. The foreshore has excellent picnic and barbecue facilities, a cafe, and access to the beach. Parking is paid. Dogs are permitted on-leash on the path, but are not allowed in the sanctuary itself.
