R.J. Hamer Arboretum

The R.J. Hamer Arboretum is a 'library of trees' set on a beautiful hillside with sweeping views across the Yarra Valley. The arboretum's collection is planted in blocks, allowing visitors to walk through forests of different species, from soaring Californian Redwoods to vibrant Liquidambars that put on a spectacular autumn display. A network of walking tracks, including the easy Forest Walk, winds through the collection. It's a popular spot for picnics, with well-equipped areas offering stunning views. To protect the valuable tree collection, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
