The river shallows here form a sandy beach ideal for summer paddles and canoe launches, backed by lawns and mature shade. Toilets and picnic tables sit near the car park; waymarked paths connect north towards Pine Island South. Dogs are permitted on- and off-leash in signed areas; the ACT Government confirmed the off-leash area will be retained in 2025.
