Point Gellibrand Coastal Heritage Park is a place of immense historical significance for Victoria. It was the site of the first permanent settlement on the mainland, the first seaport, and the first lighthouse. Today, the park is a popular spot for walking and cycling, with a path that follows the coastline offering spectacular views of the Melbourne skyline and the bay. The historic Timeball Tower, once used to help ships' captains set their chronometers, is a key landmark. The park has extensive lawns, picnic facilities, and designated off-leash areas for dogs. Entry is free.
