Point Cook Coastal Park
Point Cook, Melbourne, VIC
45 Point Cook Homestead Rd, Point Cook, VIC 3030
Point Cook Coastal Park is a fascinating mix of nature and history on the western shores of Port Phillip Bay. The park is home to the Cheetham Wetlands, a Ramsar-listed site of international importance for migratory wading birds, which can be observed from a special viewing tower. The park also features sandy beaches, a historic bluestone homestead from the 1850s, and extensive grassy picnic areas. It offers a unique combination of coastal recreation, birdwatching, and heritage appreciation, all with a backdrop of the distant city skyline. Dogs are permitted on-leash in the picnic areas but not in the Cheetham Wetlands. Entry is free.
