Pieman River State Reserve

The Pieman River State Reserve, located near the township of Corinna in Tasmania, offers visitors a tranquil rainforest experience along the dark waters of the Pieman River. A highlight of the reserve is the Huon Pine Walk, a 600-meter return trail suitable for all ages and abilities, including wheelchair users. This easy walk meanders through lush rainforest to a viewing platform, where visitors can admire ancient Huon pine specimens and the surrounding verdant landscape. The reserve also serves as a gateway to the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area, renowned for its 4WD tracks like the Sandy Cape Track, which provides access to remote coastal scenery and camping spots. Visitors can enjoy picnic tables and shaded areas within the reserve. Parking facilities are available for those arriving by car. Please note that dogs are not permitted off-leash in the reserve.
