The Pakenham Botanic Garden is part of the larger Toomuc Reserve and is a project that is still under development. It is centered around a 6.5-hectare lake and is being landscaped to showcase the beauty and diversity of Australian flora. A 2.5km walking and cycling track circuits the lake, making it a popular spot for local residents to exercise. The surrounding reserve has excellent recreational facilities, including a major playground, sports ovals, and numerous picnic and barbecue areas. It is a key open space for the rapidly growing Pakenham community. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Entry is free.
