Organ Pipes National Park

Organ Pipes Rd, Keilor North, VIC 3036
Organ Pipes National Park is a geological marvel located in the scenic Maribyrnong River valley. The park's main features are its magnificent columnar basalt formations, including the Organ Pipes, Rosette Rock, and the Tessellated Pavement, all formed by the cooling of volcanic lava a million years ago. A steep, sealed path leads from the visitor centre and picnic area down to Jacksons Creek, where these formations can be viewed. The park has been the focus of a long-term revegetation project, restoring the native flora to the valley. It's a great spot for a picnic, a short walk, and a geology lesson. To protect the wildlife, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
