Nigretta Falls

Located just a short drive from the nearby Wannon Falls, Nigretta Falls offers a different but equally impressive spectacle. Here, the Wannon River spreads out and cascades over a wide, complex outcrop of volcanic rock, creating a beautiful, multi-stranded waterfall. Viewing platforms provide excellent views from above, and a steep staircase leads down to the base of the falls. The reserve has a playground and well-equipped picnic and barbecue facilities. It's a great spot for a swim in summer when the flow is lower. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Entry is free.
