Mount William National Park is a pristine paradise located on Tasmania's far North-East Coast, at the northern end of the Bay of Fires. This windswept coastline features rocky outcrops marked with bright orange lichen and seemingly endless stretches of powder-white sand that squeaks beneath your feet, all set against a backdrop of crystal-clear turquoise water.

The park is named after wukalina/Mount William, which stands at 216 meters above sea level. From its summit, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the coast and, on clear days, all the way to the Furneaux Islands in Bass Strait.

Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the park's diverse fauna, including forester kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, and pademelons. Birdwatchers can spot over 100 species, ranging from tiny honeyeaters and wrens to terns, gannets, albatrosses, and oystercatchers.

For those interested in exploring the park, there are several walking tracks that lead to secluded beaches and offer opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and kayaking. The park also provides camping facilities at various sites, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area.

Please note that a valid parks pass is required for entry to Tasmania's national parks. For more information on passes and fees, visit the Parks & Wildlife Service Tasmania website.
