Mount Samaria State Park

Mount Samaria State Park is a beautiful and diverse park located south of Benalla. The park offers a variety of experiences, from the cool, shady fern gullies along the streams on the lower slopes to the exposed granite outcrops on the peaks. A highlight is the walk to the summit of Mount Samaria, which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding ranges and farmland. The park also features historic remains of a sawmill and a pretty weir. Several picnic and camping areas are available, some with basic facilities. Dogs are permitted on-leash. Entry is free.
