Mount Richmond National Park

Mount Richmond National Park is a tranquil and beautiful park located between Portland and Nelson. The park covers the sandy soils of a dormant volcano, which supports a surprisingly rich diversity of vegetation. It is particularly renowned for its spectacular wildflower displays in spring and for being one of the best places in Victoria to see koalas in their natural habitat. A network of walking tracks and scenic drives allows visitors to explore the park's different environments. A well-equipped picnic area at the summit provides panoramic views towards the ocean. As a national park, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
