Mount Buffalo National Park

Mount Buffalo National Park is a year-round destination offering a diverse range of experiences. This massive granite plateau features dramatic scenery with sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and sculpted rock formations. In summer, the park is a haven for walkers, with over 90km of trails ranging from easy lakeside strolls at Lake Catani to challenging hikes to the summit of The Horn. It is also famous for its stunning wildflower displays. In winter, the plateau receives snow and becomes a popular spot for tobogganing and cross-country skiing. The historic Mount Buffalo Chalet is an iconic landmark. Numerous picnic and camping areas are available. As a national park, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
