Mount Ainslie Kokoda Memorial Trail is a popular commemorative walk designed to honour the Kokoda Campaign of WWII. The trailhead is at Remembrance Nature Park, directly behind the Australian War Memorial in Campbell. The sealed trail leads approximately 4.5 kilometers upward to Mount Ainslie summit, providing panoramic views of Canberra with historic interpretive plaques along the way. Dogs are welcome on-leash. The trail is suitable for most fitness levels and well-signposted for pedestrians. Access is via Treloar Crescent with parking available near the base at the Australian War Memorial. The summit offers spectacular views across Canberra including Parliament House and the surrounding landscape. A must-do historic walk for both locals and visitors. Free parking and entry.
