Morwell National Park
Morwell, Gippsland, VIC
Kerry Rd, Morwell, VIC 3840
Morwell National Park is a precious island of bushland in a region that has been extensively cleared for agriculture and industry. The park is centred on a sheltered gully, which has created a unique microclimate that supports a diverse range of plants, including several rare and threatened orchid species. The park is renowned as a reliable place to spot koalas in the wild. A network of walking tracks, including the Fosters Gully Nature Walk, allows visitors to explore the eucalypt forest and ferny gullies. A pleasant picnic area with barbecues is located at the entrance. To protect the wildlife, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
