Mornington Peninsula National Park
Sorrento, Mornington Peninsula, VIC
Cape Schanck Rd, Cape Schanck, VIC 3939
Mornington Peninsula National Park protects the spectacular coastline at the tip of the peninsula. The park is a place of contrasts, from the powerful surf and rugged cliffs of the Bass Strait 'back beaches' like Gunnamatta, to the calm, sandy beaches of Port Phillip Bay. It's a premier destination for surfing, coastal walking, and exploring rock pools. Key attractions include the historic Cape Schanck Lighthouse, the beautiful Greens Bush area, and the views from the coastal lookouts. The park has numerous car parks providing access to the beaches and walking tracks. Dogs are not permitted in most of the park, with the exception of some specific on-leash areas; visitors must check local signage. Entry is free.
