Moorabbin Heathland Sanctuary

The Moorabbin Heathland Sanctuary is a vital 11-hectare conservation area. It provides a window into the past, preserving the unique sandy heathland that was once widespread across Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. The sanctuary is particularly beautiful in spring when the native wildflowers and orchids are in bloom. A network of walking tracks allows visitors to explore this fragile ecosystem. An observation tower provides a bird's-eye view of the reserve. To protect the sensitive flora and fauna, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
