Moonee Ponds, VIC 3039
The Maribyrnong Valley Parklands is a network of interconnected parks that protects the river valley, stretching from the suburbs to the city. The parklands include key parks such as Brimbank Park, Pipemakers Park, and Footscray Park. The unifying feature is the Maribyrnong River Trail, a popular shared path for cyclists and walkers that runs the length of the parklands. The valley offers a diverse range of landscapes, from steep grassy slopes and basalt cliffs to manicured parklands. The parks are extremely well-serviced with picnic and barbecue facilities, playgrounds, and cafes. It's a fantastic natural and recreational resource for the western suburbs. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
