Lysterfield Park

Lysterfield Park is a one-stop-shop for outdoor recreation. The park is centered around Lysterfield Lake, which has sandy beaches for swimming and is popular for canoeing, sailing, and paddleboarding. It is renowned for its 20km network of mountain bike trails, which were used for the 2006 Commonwealth Games and cater to all skill levels. The park also has an extensive network of walking and running tracks. It's a fantastic place to see native wildlife, with large mobs of kangaroos often grazing in the open areas. The park has excellent facilities, with multiple large picnic areas, barbecues, and a cafe. To protect the wildlife, dogs are not permitted. The park gates open and close at set times. Entry is free.
