The Lower Glenelg National Park protects a stunning stretch of the Glenelg River and its surrounding forests. The park's main feature is the incredible limestone gorge, with cliffs up to 50 metres high lining the river. The best way to experience the park is from the water, and it's a world-class destination for canoeing and kayaking, with numerous riverside campsites accessible only by boat. The Great South West Walk follows the river through the park. Visitors can also explore caves, such as the Princess Margaret Rose Cave (fees apply). Numerous campgrounds and picnic areas are accessible by vehicle. As a national park, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free, but camping and boating fees apply.
