Laurimar Wetlands

The Laurimar Wetlands are a key feature of the modern suburb of Doreen. These wetlands were designed to manage stormwater runoff but have been developed into a beautiful and popular recreational area. A network of sealed walking and cycling paths winds around the ponds and through the landscaped parklands. The wetlands have become a good habitat for waterbirds and frogs. The area is dotted with playgrounds and open spaces, making it a central part of community life. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Entry is free.
