Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve

Langwarrin, Melbourne, VIC

McClelland Dve, Langwarrin, VIC 3910

Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve is a 214-hectare island of pristine bushland surrounded by suburban development. The reserve is particularly important for its sandy heathland vegetation, which comes alive with a spectacular display of wildflowers in spring. It also has a fascinating history, having served as a military training ground and hospital during both World Wars. Remnants of the military past can still be seen. An extensive network of trails makes it a fantastic place for bushwalking, with routes of varying lengths. To protect the high conservation values of the reserve, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
