Lake Daylesford

Lake Daylesford is a central and much-loved feature of the town. A well-trodden 3km walking track, known as the 'Peace Mile', circuits the lake, passing through ferny gullies and past stately homes. The area is steeped in history, with several mineral springs located around the lake where visitors can sample the local mineral water. The iconic Boathouse Cafe sits over the water, and paddleboats can be hired for a leisurely cruise. The foreshore has lovely picnic spots, a children's playground, and public toilets. It is a must-do walk for any visitor to the region. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Entry is free.
