Lake Colac Foreshore

The Lake Colac Foreshore is a major recreational asset for the town of Colac. It follows the shoreline of the huge, shallow Lake Colac, which is a significant habitat for waterbirds. The foreshore is home to the beautiful Colac Botanic Gardens, a large adventure playground, and the historic Colac Yacht Club. A popular walking and cycling path, the foreshore trail, stretches for several kilometres, offering continuous lake views. The reserve has extensive lawns, picnic and barbecue facilities, and boat ramps. It's an ideal spot for walking, birdwatching, and family gatherings. Dogs are permitted on-leash. Entry is free.
