Kings Domain is a large area of parkland that forms a significant part of Melbourne's 'green belt' south of the CBD, connecting the Royal Botanic Gardens to the city. The park is a place of national significance, home to the Shrine of Remembrance, Victoria's primary war memorial. It also contains the grounds of Government House and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The Domain is characterized by its vast, rolling lawns and avenues of mature trees. It features numerous walking paths, including 'The Tan' track, Melbourne's most popular running circuit. Dogs must be kept on a leash. On-street parking in the area is paid and can be limited.
