Kinglake National Park
Kinglake, Melbourne, VIC
Pheasant Creek, Kinglake Central, VIC 3757
Kinglake National Park protects a large area of the Great Dividing Range's southern slopes. The park, which was significantly impacted by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires, is a powerful example of forest regeneration. It features magnificent tall forests and cool, shady fern gullies. A network of walking tracks leads to waterfalls like Masons Falls and scenic lookouts. The summit of Mount Sugarloaf offers spectacular, sweeping views towards the Melbourne skyline. The park's main picnic areas at Masons Falls and The Gums are well-equipped with barbecues, tables, and toilets. As a national park, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
