Karkarook Park is a 40-hectare reclaimed sand mine turned into a lake and wetlands system. It offers fishing, canoeing, walking and cycling trails, and picnic facilities. Dogs are permitted off-leash in designated zones. The wetlands provide important habitat for waterbirds.
