Junee Cave State Reserve

Junee Cave State Reserve, located just outside the township of Maydena on the edge of Southwest National Park, is renowned for housing Niggly Cave, Australia's deepest cave. A short nature trail leads visitors to the cave entrance, where the Junee River emerges to the surface. The cave system offers a unique caving experience, with Niggly Cave being a highlight for enthusiasts. To reach Junee Cave, turn right at the Maydena store and follow the signs for approximately 5 km to the site. Please note that facilities such as picnic tables, barbecues, and playgrounds are not available at this reserve. Visitors are encouraged to check the latest information and any access restrictions before planning their visit.
