Humbug Point Nature Recreation Area is a coastal reserve located near Binalong Bay, Tasmania, offering a range of recreational activities suitable for families and nature enthusiasts. The reserve features a large campground with easy access to Georges Bay, making it an excellent spot for camping and caravanning. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, walking trails, fishing, and various water activities such as swimming, paddling, and boating. The Dora Point campground provides accessible campsites and toilets, with showers available in the toilet block. The area is also known for its rich birdlife, including species like the white-bellied sea eagle and various shorebirds. While dogs are permitted in the reserve, they must be on-lead at all times within the campgrounds and are not allowed to disturb native wildlife or other campers. The reserve is accessible via the Tasman Highway (A3) to St Helens, then 10 km north on the Binalong Bay Road (C850) before turning right onto Dora Point Road. Camping at this campground is free, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own water and firewood. Campfires are permitted only at designated campgrounds within designated fireplaces and are prohibited during seasonal fire restrictions.
