Hotham Alpine Resort
Hotham Heights, High Country, VIC
Great Alpine Rd, Hotham Heights, VIC 3741
In summer, Mount Hotham transforms from a ski village into a high-altitude hiking destination. Located on the spectacular Great Alpine Road, the resort provides a gateway to some of Australia's most stunning alpine walks. The most famous is The Razorback, a stunning 11km ridge-top trail that connects Hotham to Mount Feathertop, Victoria's second-highest peak. Other trails explore historic huts and beautiful alpine plains. The village provides a base with some accommodation and dining options available. Access to the trails is free in summer, but a resort entry fee is charged for all vehicles during the declared winter snow season. As it's located within the Alpine National Park, dogs are not permitted.
