Great Ocean Rd, Apollo Bay, VIC 3233
The Great Otway National Park is a major feature of Victoria's south-west coast. It protects a vast area of rugged coastline, sandy beaches, windswept heathlands, and magnificent tall forests. The park is famous for its beautiful waterfalls, such as Erskine Falls and Hopetoun Falls, and its magical rainforest walks, like Maits Rest. The historic Cape Otway Lightstation is a major landmark. The park offers a huge range of activities including hiking on the Great Ocean Walk, mountain biking, camping, and surfing. Numerous picnic areas and campgrounds are scattered throughout the park. Dogs are not permitted in most of the park, but there are some specific beaches and campgrounds where they are allowed on-leash; visitors must check Parks Victoria guidelines. Entry to the park is free, but fees apply for camping and the Cape Otway Lightstation.
