The Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park is one of Victoria's most significant and beloved natural attractions. The park is renowned for its series of rugged sandstone mountain ranges that rise dramatically from the surrounding plains. It's a world-class destination for hiking, with a vast network of trails leading to breathtaking lookouts like The Balconies and The Pinnacle, and beautiful waterfalls such as MacKenzie Falls. The park is a centre of Aboriginal culture, with numerous ancient rock art sites. It is also famous for its spectacular spring wildflower displays and abundant wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. The town of Halls Gap, nestled in the heart of the park, provides a central base for visitors. Numerous picnic and camping areas are available. As a national park, dogs are not permitted. Entry is free.
