Gowanbrae Riverwalk

The Gowanbrae Riverwalk is a highlight of the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. This section of the path traverses a steep gorge with dramatic basalt cliffs, offering stunning views down to the creek below. The well-made path is suitable for walkers and cyclists and provides a surprisingly rugged landscape in the middle of Melbourne's northern suburbs. The walk is particularly impressive after rain when the creek is flowing strongly. The path is part of a longer trail that extends towards the city. Dogs must be kept on a leash. Entry is free.
